Climate change is a health crisis.
We are the movement driving solutions for a climate-resilient world.

Climate change is already in Africa's hospitals. ACHII trains the leaders, empowers the researchers, and builds the youth pipeline, turning Africa's climate crisis into Africa's climate solutions.
About Africa Climate and Health Innovation Institute
We're not building an NGO. We're building a movement.
For too long, the climate crisis has been treated as an abstract environmental issue — while clinicians across Africa treat its physical symptoms every day. Heatstroke. Cholera. Waterborne disease. Vector-borne shifts. Respiratory illness. Pregnancy complications in flood-prone regions.
The Africa Climate and Health Innovation Institute (ACHII) was founded to close that gap — turning anxiety into action, and frontline experience into the evidence, training, and infrastructure that builds climate-resilient health systems across the continent.

Our Vision
A climate-resilient Africa where every community has the knowledge, infrastructure, and agency to protect health in an era of environmental crisis.
Our Mission
ACHII exists to build climate-resilient healthcare systems in Africa through high-impact education, youth-led advocacy, and strategic research-to-policy translation.

Our Impact So Far
Eleven months in. The numbers are just the start.
Across the first half of 2026, ACHII delivered eight international climate-health webinars to audiences in Nigeria, Malawi, Afghanistan, and Zambia, reaching 170 attendees, while reaching 2,753 secondary school students through in-person education in Ibadan. To build a definitive evidence base, we launched Nigeria's first national study across all six geopolitical zones to simultaneously evaluate climate-health awareness among medical professionals and local communities. This research framework was accelerated by the deployment of 22 trained Regional Champions who eliminated geographic gaps to secure comprehensive data.
The urgency of this work is anchored in our findings. While 100% of healthcare professionals surveyed in our pilot research express a clear need for climate-health training, 57.9% have received no formal preparation. This is the critical gap ACHII exists to close.

How we build climate-resilient health systems.
Five interconnected pillars. One unified theory of change.
Education & Capacity Building
Training healthcare professionals, youth, and community members to prevent and manage climate-driven illnesses using African-contextualized learning frameworks.
Research & Evidence Generation
Advancing African climate-health data by enabling researchers to co-create studies with frontline communities and provide actionable evidence for policy.
Innovation & Infrastructure
Creating scalable blueprints and low-cost, climate-smart health facility upgrades designed specifically for African contexts.
Policy & Advocacy
Translating frontline evidence into actionable policy recommendations by engaging leaders at local, national, and continental levels while ensuring community voices shape the agenda.
Youth Leadership & Legacy
The next generation of climate-health leaders can't wait for permission. Student ambassador today. Systems leader tomorrow.

Our first national climate-health awareness study in Nigeria.
Six geopolitical zones. Over 600 verified responses.
Climate change is reshaping public health, yet frontline realities are rarely connected to clinical data. ACHII is changing that by launching a pan-national climate-health study across all six geopolitical zones. We are scaling our successful 603-response pilot to a nationwide target of 900 verified perspectives.
Your voice is the missing piece. By submitting your responses right now, you shift from a bystander to a co-creator of the evidence base.
